Elena was referred to me initially to help me brush up on my Spanish. That helped me get the most out of my participation in political delegations to Latin America. I wanted to see for myself the  increased integration and participatory democracy happening in the region. She was very helpful, bringing me ideas of her own, and taking special note of my interests and way of learning.
More recently Elena helped me translate a Green Party flyer to hand out at rallies: one side in English and the other in Spanish. Her knowledge of Spanish and of the community were both crucial in drafting up content and then doing the translation. July 29th, 2011
